Sustainable Agriculture ,Food Security

Already in 2012, a new World Bank report mentioned the potential of Africa's farmers to grow enough food to feed the continent and avert future food crises if countries remove cross-border restrictions on the food trade within the region. According to the Bank, the continent would also generate an extra US$20 billion in yearly earnings if African leaders can agree to dismantle trade barriers that blunt more regional dynamism. The report was release ton the eve of an African Union (AU) ministerial summit in Addis Ababa on agriculture and trade. With as many as 19 million people living with the threat of hunger and malnutrition in West Africa's Sahel region at this period, the Bank report urges African leaders to improve trade so that food can move more freely between countries and from fertile areas to those where communities are suffering food shortages

Water Sanitation And Hygiene

Water Sanitation And Hygiene Clean water, basic toilets and good hygiene practices are essential for the and development of children. Without these basic needs, the lives of thousands of children are at risk. Generally, access to safe water adequate sanitary and hygienic conditions make it possible to prevent many other waterborne diseases. On the other hand, conflicts facilitate the spread of water-borne diseases due to large movements of population. The arrival of displaced people in host communities, access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH services, increases the pressure on available resources. We work to supply clean water, sanitary and hygiene facilities in remote regions and in refugees camps in Africa. Some African countries have an up dated WASH policy. We also work at policy level. We work also to build capacity in the WASH sector.
